Katori Shinto Ryu KenjutsuPart of the highly acclaimed "Nihon Kobudo Series", this video documents the art of Katori Shinto Ryu. Includes demos of kenjutsu, iaijutsu, bojutsu, and naginata jutsu. Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu is a comprehensive martial arts school and is the oldest historically proven bujutsu ryuha. KSR is the first known school to have developed kenjutsu, iaijutsu, sojutus, and naginatajutsu. Founded in 1477 by Iizasa Iganomkai Choisai Ienao (1386-1488). Current headmaster is Iizasa Yoshihisada. Poor helath prevents the current headmaster from conducting teaching in the ryu and this responsibility has fallen to the ryu's designated chief instructor Risuke Otake.
